Computer science reaches a child in different circumstances: in a club they chose for themselves; in a lesson that follows a curriculum and is assessed; in a book they opened with no task attached. These are different teaching situations, and the same material will not serve all three. Our catalogue is divided not by topic and not by age, but by where and how a child works. Each series has its own character, its own metaphor in its name, and its own digital part.

Manara
Manara

Manara is for the lessons a child chooses: clubs, after-school groups and learning centres. Each strand is a laboratory with a discipline of its own. Nothing here is compulsory, but every block ends in something the child can show — a working site, a finished project, an object that exists.

Isharat
Isharat

Isharat is our series of classroom textbooks for kindergarten and school. It is built for a class: a worked-out scope and sequence, formative assessment, and a lesson the teacher can teach rather than a set of ideas. The name recalls Remarks and Admonitions by Ibn Sina — a book that leads its reader step by step.

QALAM

Qalam
Qalam

Qalam is reading with teaching material behind it: books a child opens by choice, and that can also be worked through in a lesson. The learning comes through culture — the stories, languages and traditions of different countries. The book teaches without becoming a textbook. The series is in preparation.
